Man its so sunny and warm here down in the south east of merry ol' England! And even better, i'm off uni now (i think, seeing as i have no exams) until september :boogie: Frickin aesome, now all i have to do is sit twiddling my thumbs until my friends come back from uni. What is great though, my mate Shelley has come back to Dover and i haven't seen her in bloody ages, so we've been going out in the evenings to pubs and that. Its been really fun :D

I've been really lazy with artwork lately, i just haven't been in the right mood to do any. I've got something planned though, i got inspired by something i saw on ebay (of all places), so now that i have a ridiculous amount of time off, i'm gonna start that. Although i had to buy a load of art supplies in Canterbury yesterday because the things i needed have seem to gone walkies. So yeah, thats over twenty quid out of my wages. And, sod's law, i bet i'll find the old ones...

Had to hand in my final film essay for this year in yesterday, i had to write about Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver. The thing with film studies is that, once you've studied or written about a film, you either love it even more or you get stressed out with it and like it a lot less. Well, i don't think i'll be watching Taxi Driver again. It is a good film, but i dunno, i think it is way overrated and i'm really fed up with it. My last essay i wrote was about Roman Polanski's Chinatown, and i love that film! So yeah, its hit or miss really. The module i did last term, i had never seen any of the films before and i loved them (and the director). I don't like the Romans so much as i used to because of archaeology being a bitch.

So yeah, Taxi Driver...pfft!

Ha ha, i found some more Harry Enfield piss take 1930s/1940s British television public information programs. I used to watch these Enfield sketches when i was younger so it is wicked to see them on youtube, they are so funny:

haha yes he is.
well your image sounds alot better than what she actually is :P she just sort of lashes out randomly, i get very scared.
And next week i must do a monologue infront of the class and her.

yes i think better none than wrong too, tis a good point! yes my group at school has gotten quite large.

ok awesome. yes contact juggling, i have been researching and looking at it heaps lately!
i was looking at that book, does it help, like you dont need visual aids, like video? I am just getting one 75mm clear acrylic ball, i can get it with postage for $35 australian.
right, well i think ill wait a little longer for multi ball stuff but thankyou, i think my hands are average, not sure.
How long did it take you to actually be able to do cool stuff? Also i was wondering, some one told me that they got a 75 acrlic and they used it alot, not sure how much, and there hands hurt heaps after, when the first started i suppose, did you get that?
anyways, i shall work it out, there are many helpful vids and people on youtube and the net :D ahh thank goodness for the net.

It was weird, when i started really looking at this contact juggling, i went to math and we had this like learning teacher and he used to be a ring leader in a circus. No idea why math now but anyways...i went up to him after class and asked if he knew about contact juggling and he did, which was awesome cause i have met like no one else besides the net, who did. he told me a good site too :) he seemed a bit jumpy but he was cooll. I shall find him one day and show him my juggling :D I was like..well that was a lucky co-incidence.

YAY! i got my pen tablet yesterday, im still getting used to it but its awesome. I might submit some work soon, but its my first go with it so we shall see :P

havent seen you around for a while...been busy i suppose? i have holidays in 2-3 weeks, yay. thats when my bday it, 21st april :D that means rocky horror!
argh it rained today so we had wet weather sport, we had to watch charlie and the choc factory, its great but i have seen it like 700 times. and then the teacher moved me again so i was alone haha.

yes my easter was good thankyou, i got lots of chocolate :) i may eat some now actually. i got to see my cousins which was good, how was yours?

thanks, i am trying many new art things at this point, but still love my drawing. yes my drawing for my friend is going good but i think i made his eyes too big. I guess she will like it anyways...

hope to hear from you soon, working on any artwork at the moment??

Your teacher does wierd things and loves cats...? The mental image i'm getting is some old hag wearing a hairnet, sitting on a rocking chair on the porch of her shack of a house, nursing a shotgun on her lap, screaming incoherently and hundreds cats running around and clinging to her hair. Lol.

Good thing you got out of that group of friends. Better no friends than the wrong ones, they could have led you down a wrong path. Great you've got good friends now and you can all look out for each other.

I got a book by James Ernst which has some good stuff in it to learn from. The basics are pretty simple, the main one is called the 'butterfly' which is hard but takes practice. I think its all about practice and progression really, the muscles in your hands and arms etc need to adjust and as you practice, they get used to it and you get better at it. Its the same with everything really, i think someone called it 'muscle memory' or something. My acrylic balls were expensive, my main one (75mm) i got off ebay for £20, the others i got off that site (very good site), cost me a lot, probably about £50 for all four of them. For single ball tricks like what Jareth does in Sarah's parent's bedroom, you'll only need one. It will get scratched, but there's no point in getting another one until you start making only little or no mistakes. 70mm/75mm is the average size for single ball tricks. The bigger the ball, the more balance you have which is really important. But don't go mad lol, i have small hands and i use a 75mm, so i suggest that size. Only thing is, because i have such small hands, i had to get the smallest size balls for multi-ball stuff. For such tricks, the smaller the balls are the easier it is to do the tricks. Also you have to be able to fit all of them in your hand lol, if they're too big, it won't work. Mine are 60mm acrylic balls, which is the smallest size, and they are perfect for me. I started off with my 75mm first for a while, then i decided to get the others so i could do multi-ball stuff.

Hope you enjoyed easter and hope you got lots of chocolate! The art you've got lined up to do sounds awesome, and i can't wait to see them when you've finished them! Your new works are beautiful :aww:

Take care xxx
