Okay i have a lot of art projects underway but the David Bowie in my head left and said he wouldn't come back unless i drew this picture. Now i can concentrate on the other things (Cinniuint, i haven't forgotten the drawing for you, i had one idea then scrapped it because i came up with something else).

Anyways, i was just scrolling through the Bowie eye candy that is clogging up my laptop memory, and i fell in love with this picture. I'm sure its from the same photoshoot as the poster i have in my room, i'm guessing its around the eighties that this was taken. He looks so content here, it just makes my heart melt
Looking over my gallery, i think my black and white drawings have been lacking in quality for quite some time. I think the last drawing i put a significant amount of effort into was my Labyrinth - Jareth and Sarah drawing. And its been almost a year now since i drew that. Don't get me wrong, i love the b&w drawings i've done since, especially The Goblin King, but i think i rushed them. So i really took my time with this and paid more attention to the detail. I'm really pleased with how it has turned out, took me about twenty-seven hours and i had to buy another 0.7 mechanical pencil as the other one broke. His right hand finger or whatever looks a bit wierd, but it is really white in the reference picture, i guess because of the camera. His hair and sleeves were the most difficult (damn you David with your fantastic ruffled shirts). But yeah, here it is. I added that little bit of hair dangling down and i've emphasised his smile a little bit because his smile is simply gorgeous
